Description

The first Remembrance Sunday ceremony was held at the Cenotaph in 1921. The Cenotaph itself was designed by Sir Edwin Landseer Lutyens and was built in 1919-1920. This photograph was commissioned by the Rotary Club of London, who had presented the large wreath in the shape of the Rotary Club logo on the previous Sunday, the 19th of June.
