Description

The photograph was taken for Harrods Limited. Hambros Bank had premises within Norway House at 21-24 Cockspur Street. C J Hambro & Son was founded in 1839 by Carl Joachim Hambro, a Danish merchant and banker. In 1921, after merger with the British Bank of Northern Commerce, it became known as Hambros Bank.
