Description

The Empress of Scotland was built in 1905-1906 and was originally named the SS Kaiserin Auguste Victoria, sailing under the Hamburg America Line. Later owned by Cunard, she was then purchased by the Canadian Pacific Steamships Limited on the 13th of May 1921 and the company also commissioned this photograph to be taken. In 1921 Canadian Pacific Steamships Limited became the new name of the company formerly known as Canadian Pacific Ocean Services.
