Description

In the Bedford Lemere daybook the architect who designed the reredos is recorded as Tolhurst, possibly J B L Tolhurst, although the chapel which dates from 1896-8 was designed by F A Walters. The client who commissioned the photograph is recorded as Hampton & Sons, furnishers, and it appears to have been taken at their premises before installation.
