Description

The United States Lines was a transatlantic shipping company formed in 1921 with ships from the United States Mail Steamship company who went in to liquidation in the same year. This photograph is one of two which the Bedford Lemere daybook records as being the U S Mail office taken for 'U S Mail SS Co'.
