This manipulated image was produced in 1922 by combining two views taken by Bedford Lemere and Company in 1913 (BL22180/001 and BL22180/002). The resulting photograph shows the Northumberland Avenue and Whitehall Place elevations of the hotel. The image was produced for Gordon Hotels, who were responsible for commissioning the original photographs.
