Description

The first Church of St Columba on this site was built in 1884 but was entirely destroyed by an incendiary bomb dropped by an enemy aircraft during the night of the 14th of May 1941. The new church was built between 1950 and 1955 on the same site.

This photograph was commissioned by H Lennox Anderson (1875-1950), architect and son of John Macvicar Anderson.
