Description

The view depicted in this plaster relief can be seen in another Bedford Lemere image, albeit from a slightly different elevation, see BL26223. The Bedford Lemere daybook records that the building was designed by the architectural partnership of Eric Thompson and James Thomas Walford, formed in London c.1904. The photograph was commissioned by H H Martyn and Company Limited, architectural decorators and furnishers, memorial and architectural construction craftsmen, who may have produced the plasterwork on the ceiling.
