Description

The photograph was taken for Howard and Sons, cabinet makers, upholsterers and decorators based in London, who may have worked on the wood panelling and decor in the Library of the house, here pictured.

Lechlade Manor, a large Jacobean Style country house, was built in 1872-3 to the designs of the architect J L Pearson. By 1960 it had been converted into St Clothilde's Convent School.
