Description

Numbers 2 to 7 Stratford Place were built in 1774 as a symmetrical terrace of townhouses to the designs of Richard Edwin, who also built the town mansion Stratford House in 1771-3. The Bedford Lemere daybook does not record for whom this photograph was taken, but it may have been commissioned by The Apolinaris Company Limited, importers of mineral water.
