A note in the Bedford Lemere daybook reads 'Mrs Docker', and the 1925 Post Office Directory records that Frank Dudley Docker C.B., businessman, financier and Derbyshire cricketer, owned a flat in the mansion block at 25 Berkeley Square, so we can conclude that the furniture belonged to his wife, who may have also commissioned the photograph. The mansion flats were constructed circa 1906 to the designs of F T Verity.
