The Old Queen's Head dates from 1882. After closure of the pub, the building became known as Sri Lanka House. A tramway depot formerly stood in the yard behind the pub with access via the passageway visible to the left of this image. The photograph was taken for the solicitors Boulton Sons & Sandeman.
