The SS Diogenes was built by Harland & Wolff for the Aberdeen Line. She undertook her maiden voyage in 1922, sailing from London to Brisbane. The photograph was taken for the White Star Line, who had shared control of the Aberdeen Line with Shaw, Savill & Albion Line since 1905.
