Description

This drawing is a design for the Masonic Peace Memorial, which was built between 1927 and 1933. The name was changed to the Freemasons' Hall at the outbreak of war in 1939. The Freemasons' Hall, the headquarters of English freemasonry, was designed by HV Ashley and Winton Newman, who received the commission as a result of a competition.
