Description

Designed by Hubert Lidbetter and completed in 1927, Friends House is the central offices of the Religious Society of Friends in Britain and includes offices, meeting halls and a library. The Bedford Lemere daybook records the client for the photograph as 'Nickalls', this is probably a reference to John Lawrence Nickalls who was the librarian at Friends' House.
