This house possibly dates from the mid-late 18th century. It was altered in the mid 19th century and had further alterations made in the early 20th century and an extension added in the 1920s. The interior has fake timber framing and a staircase in an Elizabethan style. The photograph is part of a set commissioned by the owner, George Holt Thomas, aviation industrialist.
