Description

St Columba's belongs to the Church of Scotland. The building shown here, dating from 1884, was destroyed during the blitz in 1941 and replaced by a new church in 1955. The Bedford Lemere daybook records that the architect Henry Lennox Anderson, son of the church's original architect John Macvicar Anderson, worked on the church at this date.
