Description

The theatre, designed by W G R Sprague, was built in 1905 as part of the Aldwych-Kingsway development and opened as the Waldorf Theatre. By the time this photograph was taken for Knight Frank & Rutley, valuers, surveyors and auctioneers, it was known as The Strand Theatre. In 1930 it was renovated and by 2005 had been renamed the Novello Theatre.
