Description

Little Aston Hall is an early 18th century country house which was rebuilt circa 1790 and again in 1857-9. The photograph is part of a set commissioned for Howard & Sons, cabinet makers, upholsterers and decorators, who may have carried work out here at about the time the photograph was taken. The Bedford Lemere daybook describes this scene as being 'Up from loggia'.
