Description

'Morning' was voted Picture of the Year by the Royal Academy in 1927, after which it was purchased for the nation by the Daily Mail. The painting became so popular it undertook a lengthy tour of Britain and was exhibited in New York. This photograph was taken for the Cunard Steamship Company, whose liners carried the artwork.
