Description

The photograph is part of a set showing the old depot and generating station of the City & South London Railway at Stockwell. The City & South London Railway was London's first deep level tube railway. The depot was closed in 1924 and flats subsequently built on the site. The photograph was commissioned by Douglas Young, auctioneers.
