Description

The subject of the photograph is recorded in the Bedford Lemere daybook as Child's Bank. By the date it had been taken, Child & Co were incorporated with Glyn, Mills & Co, registered at 1 Fleet Street. The building dates from about 1879 and was designed by J Gibson.
