Description

The photograph of the drawing is one of two taken for Marels & Co Ltd, decorating contractors and fibrous plaster decorators. The interior of the Regal Cinema, which opened in November 1928, is said to have been designed by Charles Muggeridge in an Atmospheric style, with a setting of a Roman temple. It seems likely, therefore, that the design shown in this photograph, described on BL29479, as 'Atmospheric Style of Andalusian Spanish', was not carried out.
