Description

In 1925, the pottery manufacturer Doulton & Co established a glazed stoneware pipe works at Erith after production had moved from their Lambeth site. The photograph shows the hopper and conveyor which carried clay and other materials in to the Doulton factory, offloaded from boats on the River Thames.
