Description

The cathedral is constructed in the Byzantine Christian style, utilising rich and decorative marbles and mosaics, as shown in this image. It was built between 1895 and 1910 to the designs of architect John Francis Bentley, with the interiors continued by his assistant John A Marshall after Bentley's death. The photograph was commissioned by The British Publishing Co.
