Description

Number 119 Cheyne Walk was the final home of the artist J M W Turner who lived here from the 1840s until his death in 1851. In 1897-98 the two modest cottages at 118 and 119 Cheyne Walk were purchased by the leading arts and crafts designer Charles Robert Ashbee. He restored the facades and internal details whilst removing party walls to create one large dwelling.
