Description

The revolving viewing tower at Great Yarmouth was one of five designed by enginer Thomas Warwick for the UK, and was erected in April 1897. A steam engine powered a lifting, revolving viewing iron viewing platform which rose to 150 feet from the ground, affording customers panoramic views of the surrounding area. The tower was dismantled in 1939 for use as scrap metal for the Second World War war effort.
