Description

The tower shown in this photograph was the third in a series of four monuments erected at the top of Crich Cliff. It was built in 1851 but was forced to close due to a lightening strike and earth movement. The decision was then made to relocate the tower and,in 1922, it was demolished and rebuilt nearby as a war memorial.
