Description

Bryanston House was built at the end of the 19th century by R. Norman Shaw, for Lord Portman. Both the house and the surrounding estate were later bought by J. G. Jeffreys in 1928 and converted into a school, known as Bryanston School.

The gateway and lodges, which pre-date the current house by a century, are located at the south-east corner of the estate, just to the south-west of Blandford Bridge.
