William Mompesson's chair stood outside St Lawrence's Church

The story associated with the chair claims that it was made by a local craftsmen and used by the 17th century clergyman, William Mompesson. In the 19th century it was rescued from a second hand shop in Liverpool and brought to St Lawrence's Church.
