Description

Pittville Lake was built in the gardens of the Pump Room between 1825 and 1827 and was intended to be a venue for boating and aquatic events. After the acquisition of the gardens of Marle Hill, and the purchase of the Pump Room and Gardens by Cheltenham Borough Council, the site became known as Pittville Park.
