Description

The frieze depicts two grotesque caryatids and two shields of arms. It is dated by an inscription to 1656. It was probably from a screen before it was reset. The parish used to be known as Monnington on Wye. A print of this image is in the RCHME Inventory Notes for Monnington on Wye. This image is printed in the RCHME Inventory volume Herefordshire III-North West.
