The open arcade of the Market Hall, built in 1627 by Sir Baptist Hicks for the sale of cheese, butter and poultry, with the 19th century Town Hall beyond. The porch of the town hall was added in 1897 to celebrate Queen Diamond Victoria's Jubilee.
