Description

Pike Hill Signal Tower is thought to have been constructed before the turf and stone walls of Hadrian's Wall, and is believed to have been in use right up until the fourth century AD. A note on the sheet reads 'Pike Hill Signal Tower, 75', and may refer to the locations/ publications where this illustration was to be reproduced.
