Two simple reconstruction drawings depicting Sewingshields Turret 35a on Hadrian's Wall, near Sewingshields Fort. The upper drawings shows the turret while intact, the lower drawing shows the consolidation of the wall after the turret was removed.

Description

This illustration was reproduced on page 75 of the English Heritage book about Hadrian's Wall by Stephen Johnson, published in 1989. A note on the sheet reads 'Sewingshields Turret, no.99', and may refer to the locations/ publications where this illustration was to be reproduced.
