Description

A note on the drawing, in the artist's handwriting, reads 'Old Sarum, Outer Bailey, Panel 'H', indicating that this illustration was almost certainly reproduced on an information panel to be placed in the outer bailey at the site. The drawing is also annotated with 'Iron Age c.200 BC' and is marked '3'. This is the third in a set of four phased reconstruction illustrations, showing Old Sarum from the same aerial viewpoint through different phases of its development; see IC074/031 - IC074/032 and IC074/034 for other illustrations from this set.
