Description

This design incorporates a paved area adjacent to the entrance and exit ramps, and a reconstruction of the late-medieval canopied fountain that once stood in New Palace Yard (see illustrations IC110/002 - IC110/004 for illustrations of the fountain). This illustration is one of a set of five insert design proposal illustrations, to be overlaid on a separate aerial perspective illustration of the area of New Palace Yard to be developed. See illustrations IC110/013 and IC110/015 to IC110/017 for other proposed designs. A note on supporting information states that the full design, incorporating this insert and the backing illustration of the area to be developed, can be seen in image Y9314/1 (photographic copy of a drawing).
