Description

This is an ink drawing and supporting documentation suggests that it was copied in the process of creating later, colour versions of this reconstruction illustration; see IC148/002 and IC148/004. This building suffered storm damage in 1790 and was never rebuilt. The remainder of Abbey House is now in use as a visitor center for Whitby Abbey.
