Description

The store on Market Street, store 199, was opened in 1925. The building was numbered 61-67 before 1960, but by 1968 the premises had expanded to include no. 59 Market Street. By the 21st century, the numbering had reverted to nos. 61-67, although the size of the premises remained unchanged. It closed as a Woolworth's store in 1984 and in the early 2000s was a Poundland discount shop. At some point in the late 20th century the top floor was removed.
