Description

Marks and Spencer first opened at 104 Freeman Street in the 1900s, and was known as a Penny Bazaar in 1930. The store expanded into adjacent premises in the 1930s; this photograph may show the facade of the original part of the store, which was listed at 104 Freeman Street in 1930. It closed in 1990 and the entire premises was occupied by Iceland Foods from 1993.
