The Burton store was probably built in around 1931. At the time of this photograph, the premises were occupied by BMS Motor Spares and LM Motorcycles; in the early 21st century, the building housed an international grocery store. Stamford Street was renamed Stamford Street Central at some point between 1964 and 1979.
