Description

The site on English Street was acquired by Woolworth's and Burton in 1933. Foundation stones were laid at the Burton store at 94-96 English Street in 1933, and the store on the corner of the site was later extended along Victoria Viaduct. The building was later occupied by Greenwoods, as shown in this photograph, and by an RAF and Royal Navy Careers Office in the early 21st century.
