Description

The Burton store at 581-585 Bristol Road was built in around 1937, with a foundation stone being laid by Raymond Montague Burton in that year. The building was later occupied by Barclay's Bank and as the Delta Pi Stationery and Furniture store. In 2010 an extension was added to the top storey, and the original upper facade and foundation stone was removed. The building reopened as a Tesco Express store in around 2012.
