Description

The Burton store was built in 1939, with a foundation stone laid by members of the Burton family in that year. The building is located facing the Market Place at the junction of High Street, Birmingham Road, Oldbury Road, Long Lane and Halesowen Street. After closing as a Burton store, the premises became a discount store and later a charity shop run by Compton Hospice.
