Description

The cattle trough is one supplied by the Metropolitan Drinking Fountain and Cattle Trough Association, an organisation established in London by Samuel Gurney and Edward Thomas Wakefield, to provide free drinking water for people and animals. The drawing was submitted as part of a measured drawing competition sponsered by Wiggins Teape Ltd., The Victorian Society and the Architects' Journal. This is sheet number 5 of 6.
