Description

This original sketch was removed from SN00352 and renumbered on 31/10/2018. A copy of the item is in SN00352. The mansion dates from 1772, replacing an earlier house on the site. During the Second World War the house and grounds were requisitioned. At the close of hostilities London County Council bought the house under a Compulsary Purchase Order, but all the Council's plans for Dagnams fell through and in 1950 it was demolished.
