Description

The item is composed of eight structural drawings: a section through typical treads; a plan of typical treads; a stair plan at the great gate roof level; a detail of a rope handrail eye; a stair plan 'at h/l art room;' a stair plan at first-floor level; a landing edge detail, and a sectional elevation of the north-east tower. All drawings are labelled with specification details. The dates on the Donald W Insall and the English Heritage labels say January '87, although it is likely that the original drawing was completed earlier. A note says 'this drawing to be read in conjunction with engineers detail XD1/3.' The drawing number is BA/GG18 and the job number is 85019.
