The item is labelled 'Contract drawing no.3' and has 'K.C.V.O, F.R.I.B.A. Architect, Corsham,' with the date '3.31' written in the bottom right-hand corner. Sir Harold Brakespear's signature would be intended to appear above this on any copies or a later version. The later drawing number from the Department of the Environment is 970/AS4/3.
