The plan shows extant masonry, the trench sections dug in 1981 and the positions of trenches from the 1966 excavations. A note reads that the drawing shows 'the position of the 1981 excavation of the west end of sections from 1966 excavations'. The sheet was possibly redrawn prior to the installation of a retaining wall at this part of the castle.
