Description

The sheet includes a full map of the wall at 1" to 1 mile scale. Guardianship details include plans of the stretch of wall from Birdoswald to Gilsland, Banks Hill and Turret 52A, Piper Sike Turret 51A and Leahill Turret 51B, Winshields Crag, Housesteads Fort, Sewingshields Crags, Chesters Fort and Bath House, Heddon-On-The-Wall, Denton Hall Turret and the section of wall at West Denton, Condercum Vallum Crossing and Roman Temple, Brunton Turret and Planetrees Section, Carrawburgh Mithraeum, Chesterholm Fort and Milestone, Walltown Crags. All detail plans are at 1:2500 scale. There is also inset a set of six sketched sections of different configurations of wall and vallum (not to scale) and some text regarding the history of the wall.
